Digital Image Submission
The curator must receive a professional looking digital image in JPEG format by the online gallery deadline.

Include one image on the submission form with the appropriate submission.

JPEG format should be in the range of 800 – 1200 pixels with medium compression.

Each image must be labeled as follows: Title of art piece and artist first name, artist last name. Example: Tropica Jane Smith

Take Down Process
Artwork must be picked up on date and time listed on show prospectus unless other arrangements are made with the Curator.
Take-in Process

Artwork must be delivered to the gallery on the date & time given in the show prospectus unless other arrangements are made with the curator.

All submissions must have been formally reviewed and accepted by the curator.

No substitutions or walk-ins will be accepted.

Print your Entry Tags to affix to the work.

Art pieces may be omitted if the piece:

Is substantively different “in person” than those previewed by the curator team or lacks professional framing

Has unfinished canvas edges

Is unsafe to display

All artwork will be inspected upon delivery for overall condition. Any issues or damages will be documented and initialed by the artist.

Artists (or their representatives) will initial the entry forms for art accepted by GALA at take in

Submissions by delivery services must be coordinated with the curator.
Artist Reception

Please invite your family and friends to join us for the Artists Reception held at the Center for the Arts Foundation on the date listed in Prospectus from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.

Visitors will enjoy live music and light refreshments as they view the exhibit.

There may be an Artist Talk at 6:30 that is free to attend.
Insurance
Gresham Area League for the Arts will be responsible for artwork while it is on display in the gallery. Claims for loss or damage will be investigated and may be adjusted by GALA's Insurance Carrier. The artist will be reimbursed for the reasonable value of the artwork or repair of damages. In no event will GALA pay damages in excess of the value declared by the artist on the exhibit inventory form.
It is important to inspect all artwork before leaving the gallery on pick-up day to register any possible issues or damages.

Artist Statement

Sales

GALA receives commissions on all sales in the amount of 20% of the sale price.

Fees for credit card transactions will be paid for by the artist

Purchased items will be labeled “sold” but must remain on display until the end of the show.

All exhibits must include a sales price or, on rare occasions, a NFS designation.

Receipts will be offered for commission and fees.
Unclaimed Work
GALA will not be responsible for any artwork not picked up by scheduled take down date. Additionally, if the work is not picked up by 30 days after the scheduled pick-up date the art shall become property of GALA.
