Meet the GALA Board
We are an all-volunteer working board dedicated to arts advocacy in East Multnomah County. By promoting accessible exhibits and educational opportunities, we ensure the arts remain a vital, diverse, and flourishing part of our community.
Cindy Lenig Cossu
Cindy serves as President of the Gresham Area League for the Arts (GALA), where she champions local creative initiatives. As an accomplished artist and dedicated community leader, she brings extensive experience from various professional leadership roles to her advocacy for the arts. She excels at fostering collaboration between creatives and the public, ensuring that cultural programming remains a vital part of the regional identity through connection, strategic vision and service.


Dale Ricklefs
Dale brings 15 years of experience in visual art community outreach, two of those years with GALA serving as Treasurer. Her primary interest is in mixed-medium art forms, focusing on art quilts. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago during the weekends while in high school. She also does hand and machine embroidery and quilting. Dale moved to Gresham from Round Rock, Texas in 2023 and is engaged in various area activities. She volunteers at the Gresham Sr. Center doing long-arm quilting as a fundraiser for them.
Jonah Gómez Cabrera
Jonah is a recent college graduate with four years of outreach experience working with young students and three years in the gallery and museum field. He currently serves as an Educational Aide at MLA Middle School, focusing on academic support and student engagement. With over ten years of experience in painting and photography Jonah is dedicated to expanding accessible educational opportunities for emerging artists.Based in Vancouver, WA, Jonah enjoys exploring local antique shops and bookstores in his free time.


Hoan Tran
Hoan brings 30 years of experience in art education to the GALA board. She has taught studio art at Gresham High School for the past 26 years. Her lifelong passion is mentoring young artists to their full potential. She joined the board in 2025 with the hope of ushering new generations of artists into the Gresham arts community. Hoan has lived in Portland for 43 years, when not teaching, she loves the outdoors and enjoys exploring the local food and art/cultural offerings with her extended family.
Delaney Stauffer
Delaney brings 15 years of experience in graphic design and brand development to the GALA board. She currently is the creative lead and partner at Lewis Creative, specializing in logo design and brand consistency. Having been drawn to the arts since she could hold a pencil, Delaney is passionate about bringing accessibility to the arts for artists of all ages. She joined the board in 2025, excited to bring accessibility back to local art. Having lived in City Central for 18 years, she enjoys camping, sustainable design, and dancing at goth clubs when not involved in the local arts scene.
