GALA Education Saturday: Pastel Painting Make-and-Take Event with Donna Stevens

GALA invites you to join us for an inspiring Education Saturday featuring local artist Donna Stevens. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore the vibrant medium of dry pastels in a supportive, creative environment.

Pastels are pure artist pigments in a versatile stick form. During this session, Donna will guide you through essential mark making techniques and the process of creating a colored background. You will then apply these skills during a guided "paint-along" to create your own small painting to take home.

About the Artist:

Donna Stevens has dedicated the last decade to mastering dry pastels on sanded papers. With a background in science, she now focuses her analytical eye on the character and gestures of the natural world, particularly landscapes and trees.
