Play and imagination are fundamental to the human experience, acting as catalysts for creativity, problem-solving, and emotional well-being. GALA aims to create an immersive, engaging experience that invites viewers to reconnect with their innate sense of wonder and explore the boundless possibilities of their own imaginations and play.

 

These may include play from childhood games, abstract explorations of form and color, the role of spontaneity, chance, and improvisation in the creative process or whatever else you can imagine. 

 

We strive to showcase artworks that celebrate the power of play and imagination. We believe that these essential human qualities are crucial for fostering creativity, connection, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Gala is looking for submissions across all media painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, digital art, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, glass, and 3-D works.
