What nourishes your mind? What sparks that moment of reflection or inspires you to see the world through a different lens? The "Food for Thought" art show invites artists to explore the ideas, symbols, and stories that feed our souls and imaginations.
Whether your work is a literal representation of food or a metaphorical journey into what sustains us, we want to see how you interpret this theme. Is it the comfort of a shared meal, the vibrant colors of fresh produce, or the complex layers of a thought-provoking concept?
We're looking for submissions across all media—painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, digital art, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, glass, and beyond. Let your creativity flow and surprise us with your unique take on "Food for Thought." This is your chance to captivate an audience, provoke conversation, and showcase your art in a dynamic and diverse exhibition.
What will you bring to the table?
Join GALA as we promote and nurture the visual arts by showcasing work from a host of diverse local artists. We are dedicated to:

Fostering an environment that inspires learning and appreciation for art, art history, craft, creativity, artistic philosophy, and imagination.

Supporting both emerging and established artists, as well as other arts organizations.

Raising the awareness of the rich cultural tapestry of our community.
This show will be held at the Gresham Council Chamber lobby.

How Do I Enter A Show?

There is no entry fee.

Artists may show in up to 3 exhibits per calendar year and may enter up to 4 pieces per show.

GALA keeps a 20%* commission of sales price + cc fees, for all items sold due to the exhibit.
